A useful first step

Where are you moving from and to?

Your two countries carry into the enquiry, and you can change them there.

Start with your destination

Which country are
you moving to?

Choose the country page that matches your route. Each one covers what to check about residence, schools and customs, and how that fits with your packing, collection and delivery. For current rules, check the official authorities of the country you are moving to.

Is your destination not listed?

Tell us where you are moving from and to, and what you want to take. We will tell you whether we can help with your route and what the move would involve. You can also see all our destination pages.

How should my belongings
be packed?

It depends on what you are sending. A whole home usually needs international removals. A smaller load may suit boxes and luggage shipping. Either can include packing and extra care for individual items. See all our services.

Before you enquire

Common questions.

Which international removals company should I choose?

There is no single right answer, because it depends on your route, your belongings and what you want the company to do. Ask each company how it will assess your inventory and the access at both properties. Check which packing, collection and delivery tasks are in the price, who carries out each stage and which charges sit outside it. Get the proposal in writing. Our guide to comparing moving quotations walks through the questions to ask.

Can I enquire before I have a moving date?

Yes. Choose "Not sure yet" in the timing field and tell us which parts of the plan are still open. We can start with what you know.

Does my move have to start in the UK?

No. The form takes any two countries, so you can describe a move out of the UK, a return to the UK or a route between two other countries. We assess each route before confirming that we can help.

Will the form give me an instant price?

No. The form collects the details we need for an assessment. A household move needs an agreed inventory, route, services and access information before we can confirm a price in a proposal.

Can I ask about packing or a delicate item?

Yes. Choose your packing preference on the form, ask for a white glove assessment if you need one, and describe the item and how to reach it in the notes.
